The FELIX Z harvester for with a side-row conveyor is our newest solution for fruit growers. It improves efficiency and reduces the number of workers needed for harvesting and operating the machine. The FELIX/Z harvester uses two vertical shakers that make the tree branches vibrate, causing the fruit to fall. The machine, pulled by a tractor, moves over the tree and brings it into the shaking zone. The fruits are falling on the conveyor located under the shakers. Special covers and seals eliminate fruit loss. Next, the fruit is transported to the cleaning system, which removes any impurities. The cleaned apples are then transported via a side conveyor to the next row. The harvested fruit is collected in bins placed on orchard carts or a farm trailer moving in the neighboring row. The conveyors are equipped with soft belts with shelves, and their speed can be adjusted independently to match harvesting conditions.
