The Kalmar DRT450 is a 45-ton container reach stacker crane launched by Kalmar. It is designed for container loading and unloading operations in medium and large ports and terminals. It has both high load capacity and flexible operation performance, and can efficiently complete tasks such as container stacking and transfer. The stacking height can reach 5 layers of heavy containers. Rated lifting capacity: 45,000 kg (L4 position), L5 position: 31,000 kg Power system: Cummins QSM11 diesel engine, four-stroke diesel fuel, normal operating fuel consumption: 18 L/h Lifting speed (L4 position, no load - 70% rated load): 0.42-0.25 m/s; Lowering speed (L4 position, no load - rated load): 0.36 m/s; Travel speed (no load - rated load): 25-21 km/h forward/reverse Operating weight: 69,500 kg; Maximum traction force: 362 kN; Gradeability (2 km/h, no load - rated load): 34%-20%; Maximum gradeability (no load - rated load): 39%-32% Utilizes hydraulic-mechanical transmission, equipped with a Dana brand gearbox, with the upgraded version compatible with a 5-speed DANA TE-30500. The gearbox (specifically designed for heavy material handling) consumes less energy compared to traditional 4-speed gearboxes. The hydraulic system has two PTO ports connecting to six hydraulic pumps, including four variable displacement axial piston pumps. Hydraulic flow is achieved through valve groups, allowing for precise control of steering, lifting, extension, and spreader movements. The electrical control system includes nine control units, providing highly responsive operation. The maximum horizontal reach is 6.315m, allowing for the stacking of up to five layers of heavy containers, meeting the high-density storage requirements of ports. The cab features an ergonomic design, offering spaciousness and excellent visibility. It is equipped with non-slip surfaces and safety railings, complying with three-point contact safety regulations. Emergency exit doors are located on both sides, along with two-point seat belts and an overload protection system to ensure operator safety.
